Coolmeen had a comprehensive victory over O’Curry’s in the County U21 C Football Final on a score of 3 – 19 to 1 – 06
From the start Coolmeen got on top with points from Cian Murphy, Gary Meaney & Alan Normoyle. O’Curry’s responded with 2 points of their own before Alan Normoyle crashed the ball to the O’Curry’s net. Further points from Cian Murphy (2), Paudie Corry & Aidan Corry extended the lead. O’Curry’s scored 1 goal & 1 point to reduce the margin. Before the break Ben Cleary & Cian Murphy pointed before Aidan Corry scored a second goal to extend the lead.

The second half continued in the same vein as Coolmeen dominated possession and scored points through Gary Meaney (2), Aidan Corry, Cian Murphy (3), Alan Normoyle, Paudie Corry, David Hehir & Ben Cleary plus an excellent goal from Aidan Corry. O’Curry’s fought bravely to the end & added 3 further points. Coolmeen were the better balanced team & fully deserved their victory. Coolmeen introduced Owen O’Dea as a second half substitute.
